Oxford Lindy Hoppers – new plans!

Oxford Lindy Hoppers – new plans!

It’s been a long time, but we are excited to be back in person!

We are delighted to be announcing a timetable for restarting Oxford Lindy Hoppers classes and social events.

Classes

During July and August we will be running some relaxed open air classes on Thursday evenings in University Parks.   Nice ‘n easy from 18:30 to 19:30 and something a bit more challenging from 19:30 to 20:30.

Don’t worry, we know it’s been a while.  We’ll go easy on you!  These classes will move online if it rains.

Our Thursday evening classes, ‘Sunnyside Swing’ will be reopening at East Oxford Community Centre from 7 October.  This will need to be pre-booked for the first term, so please look out for news.

Social Dancing

We are delighted to announce ‘Revival Day’ featuring not one but two dances with fantastic guest bands in the Oxford Union Debating Chamber on 18 September 2021.

We will be social dancing on Broad Street in July and August. There will be a short taster class followed by open air social dancing, weather permitting.

Subject to Government Advice, Hop the Hall will be back from Friday 3rd September and will return to the 1st Friday of every month at St Margaret’s institute.  We are asking dancers to pre-book until the end of 2021.

Oxford Lindy Hoppers is trialing cashless entry for 2021!  You will need to pre-book or bring a card to our events.

Volunteer for OLH

Oxford Lindy Hoppers are looking for volunteers!  Our classes and events are going to be a little more complicated to organise and we can’t run them without volunteers.  If you can help us out in return for free entry to events, we would love to hear from you.
