
Our monthly social dance, but even bigger and better! We are very excited to welcome back The Last Chance Ragtime Band to play for us at Hop the Hall on 3 October!
The band has played for us at multiple previous Oxford Lindy Exchanges and Swing Festivals. Playing music especially crafted for swing dancers, they will keep you on the dance floor all night long!
Details
When: Doors open at 1845. Taster Class: 1900 – 2000. Social dancing: 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
What: Our monthly social dance, but even bigger and better! All are welcome, no experience or partner necessary. This is a great chance to introduce your friends and family to the fun of swing dancing!
Ticket Prices: £20 for general admission / £15 with the Fire Station Swing discount. Transaction fees apply. Pre-booking is strongly recommended, as any door sales are subject to capacity.
Fire Station Swing discount: Book the upcoming Fire Station Swing classes series restarting on 25th September at the Old Fire Station, and we will send you a unique code to get the discount: Fire Station Swing Pass – September to November 2025.
Where: St Columba’s Church, Alfred Street OX1 4EH (use main entrance).
Travel: No parking by the venue, but excellent Park & Ride options to the venue. Or cycle.

About The Last Chance Ragtime Band
The Last Chance Ragtime Band is a group dedicated to putting jazz on the dance floor. Taking their inspiration from the New Orleans Jazz Bands of Frenchman Street, LCRB plays music especially crafted for swing dancers from greats such as Jelly Roll Morton, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, Louis Prima, Louis Armstrong and Hoagy Carmichael. They cater for Lindy Hop, Blues, Balboa and Shag dancers – all welcome!
